Job Published: | May 04, 2025 |
We’re looking for an experienced warehouse leader as well as a senior operator with a solid background in freight forwarding to step into a key role with a high-performing and supportive team.
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Airport Oaks, offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to work within a close-knit, high-trust environment. If you’ve worked in a warehouse role for a New Zealand freight forwarder and you're confident with air and ocean cargo processes, we want to hear from you.
About the Role
You’ll be joining a busy warehouse operation where attention to detail, compliance, and teamwork are essential. The facility handles import/export freight - including perishable goods - so a cool head and solid experience are must-haves.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Inwards and outwards cargo handling for air and ocean freight
- Labeling, checking, measuring, and loading cargo as per documentation and container specs
- Ensuring compliance with international regulations and NZ-specific legal requirements
- Providing great service to internal and external customers
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the facility
We’re hiring for both a Warehouse Leader and a potential 2IC, so we’re open to different levels of leadership experience—but you must have worked in a freight forwarding warehouse environment in New Zealand. If you don’t meet this requirement, this role won’t be suitable.
To succeed, you’ll bring:
- 1–2+ years’ experience in a freight forwarding warehouse environment (essential)
- A current forklift licence
- Good understanding of H&S in the warehouse
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
- Flexibility to work rostered weekends and early/late shifts
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
- Biosecurity accreditation and/or load restraint certificate
- Experience working with perishable cargo
This is a team where attitude matters - people are trusted to do their jobs, step up when needed, and support one another. The branch is led by an approachable, hands-on manager who sets the tone from the top. It’s an environment where you’ll be backed to succeed.
You'll be part of a company with a long-standing reputation in freight logistics, offering end-to-end solutions across air and sea. Their modern Auckland facility is ATF approved and operates under RMP and RACA programmes, with specialised capacity for temperature-controlled cargo. With a strong legacy and ongoing growth, they’re deeply invested in doing things right.
