This retail company has been distributing clothing & equipment throughout New Zealand and Australia for over 30 years.
About the Role
In this 3 month temp assignment you will be responsible for managing and tracking all import shipments from the companies head office in Christchurch. You will liaise with Brokers, Suppliers & Freight Forwarders regarding incoming shipments from China to New Zealand & Australia.
The hands on training will provide with all the tools to be successful in this assignment. Once completed, you will gain invaluable industry experience and operational skills which could help propel your career!
Skills & Experience
You will have previous experience working for either an importer / exporter / international freight forwarder dealing with Shipments coming into NZ. It is also an added bonus if you have a financial background.
This is a busy role so you must have the ability to multitask well, have great attention to detail, possess good communication skills (both written and verbally) & be confident using Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level.
