The Role
As Customer Service / Sales Support, you’ll play a key role in supporting both the sales and logistics teams to deliver outstanding service to customers. This is a sales-focused coordination role where accuracy, communication, and relationship management are at the heart of everything you do.
You’ll work under the guidance of a Product Sector Manager, liaising closely with customers and suppliers to ensure shipments run smoothly. Your day-to-day will include processing quotes, creating export orders and documentation, monitoring re-order cycles, and preparing order status reports. You’ll also provide backup support to managers, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks and customer requirements are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with suppliers and customers, responding promptly to enquiries and maintaining strong relationships
- Prepare accurate quotes, invoices, and proforma documentation
- Create and process export orders, shipping documentation, and invoicing within agreed timeframes
- Support Product Sector Managers with sales activities and account follow-ups
- Manage re-order cycles for fast-moving lines and proactively prompt repeat orders
- Generate accurate Order Status Reports (OSRs) and maintain Prodoc and CRM databases
- Provide back-up support across the team as needed
Skills and Experience
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Strong numeracy with accuracy in quotes, invoicing, and data reconciliation
- Previous experience in sales support, customer service, or export coordination
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of export documentation or freight processes an advantage (Prodoc experience desirable)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems
