This company has been around for over 20 years and they are now bringing a new service to New Zealand.

Looking after this new service you will have a background in commercial shipping and business development. It is paramount to build relationships in order to identify and secure cargo opportunities and being able to develop and implement business plans.
You will have 4 direct reports and the role will also include some performance management responsibilities. This role will also require travel to Australia once possible.
The right candidate will have strong attention to detail and show initiative to take this role to the next level. Someone with accountability and the drive for new ideas will strive in this role. The ability to lead a team by example but not be afraid to be hands on and help where needed. Someone who has a great business development background and is able to make long-term relationships for the business.
Required work experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in management in the shipping industry
• Commercial & BDM background
• System savvy as implementing required platforms
• Someone who is comfortable being on the ground and actually helping with the day to day operations whilst the service is being established, as well as senior management duties

This role is a 40 hour per week role BUT they are very open to working from home and flexible hours. While the service is being established this role would have to be front facing and be beneficial to be in the office.
