This fast paced transport business operates four freight hubs and handles in excess of 130,000 TEUs each year, coordinating the movements for many of New Zealand's largest companies. They operate 24/7 and have over 100 staff with around 60% in operational roles.
We are searching for a Manager of Safety and Wellbeing to join the senior leadership team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you'll be providing advice and support to the SLT and the Board on matters relating to Health & Safety and Wellbeing. Additionally you'll be leading, developing and implementing the H&S and Wellbeing strategy and framework.
We're looking for someone the following skills and attributes:
- a proven track record in H&S management
- sound knowledge of H&S legislation
- the ability to lead a safety first culture across a large business
- a collaborative approach, with accountability and ownership
- a strong relationship builder
- sound reporting and analytical skills
This role will suit someone who has a sound background in H&S with a warm personality who can engage with others in the business at all levels. Ideally, you'll have a transport/logistics or heavy machinery focus; however we welcome enquiry from outside these industries.
