The Role
 
As a Logistics – Shipping Coordinator, you will join the logistics team to manage the end-to-end shipment process—from coordinating and communicating with suppliers and freight providers, to preparing and verifying export documentation. Your role is critical to ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely deliveries for customers and their products.
 
You’ll be responsible for your own Customs clearances, making this a fantastic opportunity to obtain your Customs PIN in a supportive learning environment, or to apply your existing Customs knowledge and utilitise your existing PIN.
 
The role offers exposure to a diverse range of products and markets, and the opportunity to be part of a tight-knit, collaborative team where learning and continuous improvement are encouraged.
 
Key areas of accountability:
 
  • Customer and supplier liaison: Act as a key point of contact for suppliers, shipping companies, freight forwarders, and customers to facilitate smooth shipment processes
  • Coordination with the sales team: Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure accurate and timely communication of shipment details
  • Shipping documentation: Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documents to support smooth customs clearance and compliance with international trade regulations
  • Invoice and documentation reconciliation: Review and verify supplier invoices and associated documents against master shipping data and support customer process and documentation requirements
  • General support duties: Support additional tasks as needed to assist the logistics, shipping, and sales teams.
 
Skills and Experience
 
  • 4+ years' experience in a shipping, export, or freight coordination role
  • Background in an export environment, shipping company, or freight forwarder
  • Solid understanding of incoterms, port operations, and shipping schedules
  • Customs PIN or willingness to obtain one
  • Proficient in digital tools—editing PDFs, Microsoft 365 suite; experience with Prodoc is a plus
