About the Role: This is an integral role within the business, as General Manager of Operations you will be responsible for the International Freight Forwarding business for the upper North Island which includes Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga.3PL Warehouse.
Duties will include:
- Management and support, 5 direct reports and 50 indirect reports.
- Full ownership of P&L
- Management of compliance & procedures
- Identify additional resources and training needed both locally and potentially nationally.
- Ássist with building strong vendor relationships
- Work closely with the directors and senior managers to grow the business in the Upper North Island and potentially on a more national basis with the other GM’s.
- Financial and Operational reporting to the Board monthly & quarterly.
- This GM will have a strong commercial focus and understand logistics processes and company reporting.
- A solid background in International Freight Forwarding specifically management bringing strong leadership qualities
