The Company:
A transport company thriving in sunny Hawke's Bay! On the go and on the grow. They are currently entering an exciting new growth phase where you can play an important part.
The Role:
Is responsible for monitoring and managing the national fleet performance and route planning. Working directly with linehaul dispatchers and overseeing a small team of staff, but this is not the predominant part of the role, as much as the operational side. There will be some travel to other depots from time to time.
Hours of work are Mon-Fri with an occasional Saturday required; and include early starts - around 6.30/7am and finish when the work is done - usually around 5.30/6pm.
Who are you?
You're a team player with a strong focus on performance improvement and optimisation
You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; you can read the room and adjust your style accordingly
You're strong technically including great knowledge of transport and forward load planning software
You have sound legislative knowlege of the transport sector
You're a lateral thinker with the ability to think on your feet and be responsive to the changing needs of the business
Ideally you're tertiary qualified; and you must have previous experience within logisitcs and transport.
