This is a key role focused on the implementation and local execution of global compensation and benefits strategies; ensuring alignment with broader business goals and compliance with local legislation.
This role manages core annual processes such as job and salary banding, merit and bonus cycles, and supports strategic reporting to both regional and global HR teams.
You’ll work closely with the New Zealand HR team, while also reporting into the broader Compensation & Benefits function across ANZ.

Key Responsibilities
Deploy and maintain compensation and benefits frameworks in line with global and regional guidance
Manage the end-to-end process of annual merit and bonus reviews, linked to performance cycles
Oversee job evaluation and salary banding across all business areas
Prepare and deliver reporting and analysis to regional and global stakeholders
Ensure compliance with NZ employment legislation, including the Holidays Act
Provide expert advice to HR and business leaders on remuneration practices
Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements across the C&B space
Key Requirements
Demonstrated experience in compensation and benefits
Advanced Excel skills – essential for analysis, modelling, and reporting
Strong working knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation
Experience in complex business environments with multiple reporting lines and stakeholders
