About the Role
Due to their expansion in NZ, they now have a vacancy for an experienced International Freight Sales person to join their small team.  The role is focused on new business, however there is a portfolio of existing clients to develop and grow also.  Specific responsibilities of the role are:

  • Research, identify and pursue new business opportunities and prospects to achieve growth as per budget.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities with existing accounts to assist in client retention and growth as per budget
  • Working with the Operations Coordinator, manage and quality-assure the quotation process, providing adjustments as necessary
  • Communicate with all departments of the company to ensure smooth transition of new accounts and where necessary arrange standard operating procedures for current and pending clients and resolve any operational issues for clients.
  • Provide weekly sales reports and other analysis and reports as required.
  • Manage individual budget and local costs to ensure targets are achieved, taking appropriate action to ensure costs are minimized.
  • Create and develop weekly appointment schedules to ensure compliance to KPI targets reporting on this to the National Sales Manager.
