As a result of the incumbent being promoted, this role is now available and reports to the GM of operations. In summary the role encompasses the following:
- Responsible for driving and developing a strong distribution, warehousing and cargo operation that achieves great outcomes for the company and customers alike.
- Identifying and commercialising opportunities with optimal pricing and margin to achieve financial goals
- Leading a team of around 40 including supervisors
- Collaborating within a team of three other Operations Managers and senior leadership team to impliment strategic directives
- Leverage talent and skill to increase throughput
- Develop a high performance team that are engaged and can perform through change
- Operating with good faith in a unionised environment

- Sound experience in operational management of 3PL/warehousing
- Evidence of commercial skills and pricing aptitude
- Financially literate
- A collaborative and empowering leadership style
- Ability to navigate complex internal structures and relationships
- Exposure to unions, and good faith relationships
- Change management experience
- An aptitude and interest in developing with technological advances including WMS systems
