Our client is a well established, New Zealand owned logistics provider with a long history supporting exporters across global markets. The Opportunity
This position sits within a small export operations team managing a mix of airfreight and seafreight shipments for New Zealand exporters. The workload naturally follows seasonal export cycles, with airfreight volumes increasing during the summer export season and seafreight activity becoming more prominent through winter months.
You will be involved across the full export process from bookings through to documentation and customer communication, ensuring shipments move smoothly and within strict compliance requirements.

The Role
- Coordinate export operations across both airfreight and seafreight shipments
- Arrange export bookings with airlines and shipping lines
- Prepare and manage export documentation including phytosanitary certificates, health certificates, certificates of origin and organic certification where required
- Coordinate time sensitive perishable shipments and ensure all compliance requirements are met
- Prepare invoicing, shipment status reports and manage client enquiries
- Support import operations during quieter seasonal periods
- Maintain and update training across industry certifications including RACA, RMP, PIPS,
- DG and customs requirements
- Work closely with management and the sales team to ensure smooth export operations
What You Bring
- Experience in export operations across both air and sea freight
- Experience handling perishable export cargo is essential
- Familiarity with export documentation such as phytosanitary certificates, health certificates or similar compliance documentation
- Ability to coordinate time sensitive shipments and manage airline or vessel cut off deadlines
- CargoWise experience is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach
