Our client requires a Business Development Star with a proven background in selling product to the building industry and related companies.
About the Company
Since commencing operations in 1976 they have grown from a handful of professionals to now owning their own land and buildings in East Tamaki. The Auckland operation includes a 200m2 office area and a 2500m2 warehouse, and operate warehouses in Wellington and Christchurch.
As BDM you will need to have proven ability to both account manage and grow the existing client base as well as grow the business by acquiring new opportunities. Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for ensuring the profitability of each of your clients.
You will also need the following
- A minimum of 3 years , selling to the building sector or related industries
- Be self- driven as the territory is not for the faint hearted. You will cover Taupo North
- Have good computer skills, particularly with Xcel, Word and Outlook
- Be confident to engage with decisions makers from varied roles such as the Warehouse team or the CEO
- Forklift Licence is a bonus but not a must
